Today, the community of Central Queensland pauses to honour the remarkable life and legacy of Melissa Lobegeier—a woman whose influence, leadership, and warmth left an enduring mark on all who knew her. Melissa was not just a leader; she was a force of connection, compassion, and inspiration.
As President of the Regional Women’s Network Central Queensland, Melissa dedicated herself to empowering women across the region. She created spaces where women could come together, share experiences, and grow both personally and professionally. Her leadership was rooted in authenticity and care, always ensuring that every voice was heard and every individual felt valued.
Melissa was also the proud owner of Brush and Comb Salon in Allenstown, a place that became much more than a business. It was a welcoming hub where laughter, conversation, and genuine connection thrived. Clients didn’t just come for services—they came for the sense of belonging Melissa cultivated so effortlessly.
Known for her vibrant personality, Melissa brought colour into every space she entered. Her love for sequins, pink, and bold expression mirrored her joyful spirit and unapologetic authenticity. She had a way of lifting others simply by being present, leaving behind a trail of positivity and encouragement.
Above all, Melissa cherished her family. As a devoted mother and proud grandmother—affectionately known as “Mum Ma”—she found her greatest joy in those closest to her. Her love and pride in her children and grandchildren were evident in every aspect of her life.
