Family, friends, and the community are mourning the tragic passing of Amanda Jane Kuberski, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt who died on April 1. Her loss has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew her, as many reflect on a life defined by compassion, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to others.
Born on July 20, 1976, in Saginaw, Amanda grew up surrounded by family and friendships that would shape her caring and outgoing nature. She attended Heritage High School, where she was active in soccer and basketball, forming lifelong bonds and showcasing her vibrant spirit. She later graduated from Michigan State University in 1998, remaining a proud and devoted Spartan fan throughout her life.
Amanda married Tony Kuberski at Holy Family Church, where she was also baptized, and together they raised their three children—Lilly, Addie, and Nickolas. Her greatest joy came from being a mother, supporting her children in their passions, from soccer and track to competitive downhill skiing. These moments became treasured family traditions filled with pride and celebration.
Professionally, Amanda dedicated her life to healthcare, working as a medical technologist at respected institutions including University of Michigan Medical Center, Northwestern Hospital, and most recently Thirlby Clinic in Traverse City. Her work reflected her compassionate nature and her desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
Known for her glowing smile and genuine kindness, Amanda had a gift for connecting with people. She made everyone feel welcome, offering support and comfort whenever it was needed. She also found peace in tending to her beautiful flower garden, a reflection of the care she poured into every aspect of her life.
A memorial service will be held on May 7 at St. Francis Church at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Amanda’s memory will live on through her family, her work, and the countless lives she touched.
